Donald Ervin Paris, 80, of Ripley passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Baptist Hospital Tipton.  Visitation will begin at 12 PM Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Ripley, where he was a member, with funeral services to follow at 2 PM.  Interment will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Paris was a retired manager and broadcaster for radio station WTRB in Ripley.  An active member of First United Methodist Church, he served as a teacher of the Men’s Comeback Class, was past president of the United Methodist Men, and was also a lay speaker.  He was a member of the Ripley Rotary Club, the longtime emcee of the Lauderdale County Relay for Life Hee Haw Show, was a supporter of the Special Olympics, and was twice the Grand Marshall of the Ripley Christmas Parade.

The husband of Anne Hood Paris, he is survived by a daughter Debbie Brewster of Ripley, 2 grandchildren Jason Brewster and Jennifer Brewster and his 2 dogs Buzz and Maggie.  He was preceded in death by a son Don “Scooter” Paris, Jr.
