The Tennessee Association of Broadcasters Presents the 73rd Annual Conference

We will send more specific details as we get closer, but here is a small glimpse into the day we have planned for you:

If you plan to attend, please fill out the registration form by clicking HERE

We will begin the day by hosting an Engineering and Technology session (lunch will be provided) in the TAB training center on the first floor of our office building.  Beginning at 10 am, you will have an opportunity to see and experience the future in technology in TV and Radio alike, from the OConsortium Technology Tour, who will be on-site to conduct demonstrations and sponsor lunch.  After lunch, we cover the latest information on EAS, FCC Compliance, and the formulation of a  new State Emergency Communications Committee.

In the afternoon, we will offer two concurrent sessions for sales and management.

Derron Steenbergen with the Swagger Institute will lead a sales training session in one room, while we host a panel on legal, legislative, and regulatory issues in the other.

The panel will feature attorneys and experts to answer questions and cover the spectrum of issues and opportunities facing local radio and television stations today.  Participants include TAB General Counsel – Doug Pierce, TAB Government Relations Director – Dan Haskell, FCC legal expert – Davina Sashkin, and NAB Senior VP of Government Relations – Shawn Donilon.

At 5 pm we will host a cocktail reception for all attendees, followed by dinner, banquet, and live entertainment.  At the banquet, we will honor our next Distinguished Service Award winner, as well as finally having an opportunity to honor and celebrate Whit Adamson on beginning his retirement from 33 years as your TAB President!  We have a couple of special guests joining in the celebration, which I am sure you won’t want to miss!

We look forward to seeing you all then!
