  • 10am – 11am: Kevin Benz: Journalist Training – Are you using AI or is AI using you?

    • AI is in the newsroom and it’s being used against you to spread disinformation or to just try to fool you. What are you doing about it? What guidelines are needed to avoid compromising journalistic independence and losing the trust of your viewers? There is one simple truth to AI, it cannot build trust. This session looks at the ethical issues AI brings and we will discuss how to identify and guard against deep fakes in your journalism.

  • 11am – 11:30: Lunch/Break

    • Please take a moment to enjoy a quick break and grab a plate of food. With just 30 minutes, we encourage you to refresh, recharge, and return promptly for the next session.
