Entries for the 2022 Tennessee Association of Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Awards

can be submitted by clicking on the “Enter Contest” button below, and following these important instructions:

Step 1) Click on the “Enter Contest” button below.

Step 2) Click on Find Contests. 

Step 3) Click on 2022 Tennessee Excellence in Broadcasting.

Step 4) Select your station from the “Media Organizations” list on the right.  
If you do not see your station listed, contact Becky Day ([email protected]) and she will get you added to the contestant list. 

Step 5) Enter your password.  New users should enter the temporary password Contest1 (case sensitive).

Eligibility:  Only current TAB member organizations are eligible to enter the contest. All entries must have aired or posted in 2021, and there is no limit to the number of entries in a category unless otherwise noted in the rules for a specific category.

First and second-place winners will be awarded. All qualified entries will be judged, however where less than two total entries are submitted for a contest category, the judge will have the discretion on whether or not to select a winner.

Multiple Names on Entry: No more than three names may be recognized for any entry.  Where more than three people are involved in producing the work, the award will be presented to the news organization. Please do NOT enter “staff”, “news team”, or “news organization” for the credit name. Please either enter names or leave this blank.

Time Limits: There is a 15-minute time limit for all non-newscast entries (unless otherwise noted for a specific category), with editing permitted to meet the limit.  There is a 30-minute time limit for full newscast entries.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON ENTRIES WITH PASSWORDS: Entries should not be behind a paywall or password-protected area. If they must be, provide username/password info in the Comments section of your entry. If your website requires a subscription after reading several stories, please provide a login. PLEASE, test, retest and check again. Make sure that the login works from computers outside your office. If entries and attachments are inaccessible and judges cannot view the entry in may be disqualified.
